Dr. Tatjana Lesar graduated from School of Medicine, University of Zagreb. She completed pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital Zagreb, pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at University Clinical Hospital “Sestre milosrdnice” and she participated in establishing the Centre for eating disorders at the same hospital in 2015. Dr Lesar learned from leading experts in the field of pediatric gastroenterology, eating disorders, ultrasound and general pediatrics in Croatia and abroad and attended numerous pediatric educational courses. In 2017 she joined Clinic for pediatric medicine Helena. Her areas of interest involve food allergies, motility disorders (GERD, constipation) and other gastrointestinal problems. In Clinic Helena, she leads a team of different experts for eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa…) and obesity, including psychologist, nutritionist and physiotherapist. She is a skilled general pediatrician with more than 15 years of experience in the field of general pediatrics (regular check-ups and vaccination, acute illnesses of infants and children) and two years of experience in Pediatric Emergency Room at Children’s hospital Srebrnjak prior to her gastroenterology fellowship. Dr.Lesar is a member of Croatian Medical Chamber; Croatian Medical Association; Croatian Pediatric Society; Croatian Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition; Croatian Society for Gastroenterology, as well as European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN). She has been invited as a lecturer to numerous expert and scientific congresses and courses.
